Born in 1948 in Uttar Pradesh, Latika Katt did her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and her Masters in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Vadodara. A well-known artist, Latika has received many awards and honours such as the State Lalit Kala Akademi Award, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, All India Fine Arts and Crafts Society Award, New Delhi and the Akademi Award of the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi.
