Terms & Conditions

1. The Contest shall be open from 3rd September , 2009 12 Noon IST and shall close at 6PM (IST) on 22nd September , 2009 (both days inclusive) (“Contest Period”)
2. The Contest is open to Indian citizens who are residents of India and above the age of eighteen (18) years. In the event that a person is below the age of eighteen (18) years and participates and wins this Contest, he/she shall be disqualified and shall not be entitled to the Prize (defined below).
3. The Contestant agrees to provide complete and correct information with respect to his/her identity, contact details, age, and such other information as may be required by ibn18.
4. The participants can participate in the Contest in the following manner:
1. Preliminary Round:
1. On -ground auditions were organized in Mumbai on September 10th and September 21st , 2009 and in Delhi on September 21st 2009.
2. Participants can also participate in the Contest by uploading their videos on the microsite ibnlive.com/wakeupsid before 22nd September , 2009.
3. The Preliminary Round will be judged by a representative of ibn18 and actor Ranbir Kapoor and finalists will be selected from the on-ground auditions and from the video’s that have been uploaded on the microsite ibnlive.com/wakeupsid on or before 25th September, 2009 and the finalists will be intimated on or before 26th September, 2009 on the microsite ibnlive.com/wakeupsid.
2. Final Round: The finalists on the basis of the preliminary round will then be invited to Mumbai to participate in the final round of the Contest to be judged by Ranbir Kapoor, Konkana Sen Sharma and Karan Johar scheduled to be held in the last week of September . Incase of any changes in the schedule, the finalists will be intimated accordingly.
3. The Winners will be selected on the basis of their performance and skills such as dance, singing, mimickery, etc.
4. The final round of the Contest will be broadcast on the Channels CNN-IBN, IBN7 and/or IBN-Lokmat by way of special shows. ibn18 reserves the right to use the content on its group channels and websites.
5. One (1) winner will be selected for the Contest.
6. The winner of the Contest will get a chance to have breakfast with actor Ranbir Kapoor in the 1st week of October, 2009 at Mumbai (“Prize”).
7. The Prize shall not be transferable / redeemable. No request shall be entertained by ibn18 in this behalf.
8. The decision of the judges/ibn18 management shall be final and binding and is non-contestable. No correspondence will be entertained on the same.
9. All costs related to travel, boarding and lodging of the finalists shall be solely borne by ibn18 Broadcast Ltd.
10. The Prize is subject to the laws of India and deduction of taxes, levies and other statutory payments shall be as applicable and borne solely by the winner and paid for by the winner, if any. Winner must have a valid PAN card.
11. Employees and family members of ibn18 Broadcast Limited and/ or any other Network18 group companies are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
12. All right, title and interest in the promotional material(s) and any/all entries received shall vest solely and exclusively with ibn18 at all times.
13. ibn18 reserves the right to change, alter or cancel this Contest in part or full, or change any or all of the terms and conditions that are applicable, without giving prior intimation/notice of any kind and will not be liable for any consequential losses/damages.
14. ibn18 Broadcast Ltd shall not be responsible for the quality, deficiency of any product/service, in any manner whatsoever.
15. The Contestant expressly agrees that ibn18 Broadcast Ltd will have the right to reproduce all the entries in any and all formats, media and/or mediums including but not limited to television, internet, mobile, print etc.
16. All right, title and interest, including but not limited to the Intellectual Property Rights, in the promotional material(s) and in any and all entries received shall vest solely and exclusively with ibn18 at all times. ibn18 or any person or entity permitted by ibn18 in this regards shall be entitled to use the entries received or any information in connection with the entry in any media for future promotional, marketing, publicity and any other purpose, without any permission and/or payment to the Contestant.
17. The Contestant expressly undertakes that the video’s uploaded for the Contest does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third person and/or party. The Contestant shall indemnify and at all times keep indemnified and hold harmless ibn18 against any claims, loss, damage that may be suffered by ibn18 as a result of such infringement by the Contestant without contestation or demur.
18. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai only.
19. ibn18 shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever that maybe suffered, or for any personal injury that maybe suffered, as a result of participating in this Contest.
20. ibn18 reserves the right to change/modify terms and conditions and/or criteria of the Contest at any time at its own discretion and without any prior notice and without assigning any reason.
21. ibn18 shall not be liable for any loss, damage, theft, or any other mishap caused to the Prize(s) after handing over the same to the winner/ his/ her assign(s).
22. In case of any dispute or difference in respect of this Contest, the decision of ibn18 shall be final and binding on all concerned.
