CJ Brijesh Kumar
Fight Against Delhi's Water Mafia
Brijesh Kumar a resident of Sangam Vihar slum colony of Delhi is struggling to get water for his colony. He has taken on the water mafia functioning in his locality so that all the families living in the area get access to the public borewells dug in the area. The bore-wells were dug using voluntary contributions of local residents. But they have been taken over by a mafia who sell the water at high price. CJ Brijesh Kumar lodged complaints with the water supply department against the mafia, but to no avail. But this did not discourage Brijesh and he shot videos and took photographs to expose the nexus between mafia and water supply department. He continued his struggle despite being beaten up on camera and repeated threats to his life. Brijesh took the case to the Public Grievance department of the Delhi government for justice. He finally got justice. Orders have been passed in favour of Brijesh.

Indu Prakash Singh
Battle for Night Shelters for Women in Delhi CJ
Citizen Journalist Indu Prakash Singh has been struggling to get adequate night shelters for homeless women in Delhi. There is not even a single night shelter home for 10,000 homeless women in Delhi. In fact, many of the homeless women spend there nights in very inhuman conditions on footpaths. They face several problems including molestation. Hoping for some action, CJ Indu Prakash Singh brought the issue to the notice of the chief minister of Delhi Mrs. Sheila Dixit. Consistent demands from many NGOs forced authorities to take up the matter and last year the Municipal Corporation of Delhi announced the opening of a women's shelter home.

Professionals launch a car pooling website to beat Delhi’s traffic congestion issues
CJ Abhishek and CJ Ambrish are two young IT professionals working the National Capital Region. Commuting to and from work was a daily nightmare for them because of the traffic woes in the NCR. They hit upon carpooling as a viable and eco-friendly way to de-congest roads. But they realized that just a handful of people carpooling would not be very effective. So they decided to start a carpooling website. This has been a huge success. Encouraged by the response, they began approaching companies to promote carpooling. And they haven’t looked back since.
