In the last few years shooter Rajyawardhan Singh Rathore and weightlifter Karnam Malleswari have won Olympic medals. Anil Kumble became only the second bowler ever to take 10 wicket in a Test innings. Kumble achieved the feat against Pakistan at the Ferozshah Kotla on February 7, 1999 while Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes were the top ranked men's doubles pair.
